Carrie Hazelwood is a fantastic barn manager and overall horsewoman. When I first met Carrie I was about to entrust the care of my blind horse to her, and she made sure to give him the very best. While Sam was in her barn I never had to worry about him--Carrie always went the extra mile to look out for him and never hesitated to call me if I needed to tend to something myself. I would not hesitate to put my horses in her care again--in fact I wouldn't trust anyone else!” - Caroline Johnson, Horse Trainer and Riding Instructor

“I first met Carrie while she was taking care of my horse. I noticed how attentive and knowledgeable she was. She would notify the farrier when a shoe would come off, would let me know if my horse was dropping grain, or seemed lame. I came to rely heavily on Carrie's knowledge and was thoroughly impressed with how dependable and conscientious she was. I believe the best word to sum up my relationship with Carrie as well as my horse's relationship with Carrie would be "trust." We both trusted her to do a good job - and she never let us down!" - LaMoria Patterson

“I first came to know Carrie Hazelwood over five years ago when I taught lessons and boarded with her at Westwind. She was the first barn manager I had ever boarded my horse with in my 30 years of boarding horses, that I truly trusted with my horse. Carrie is very knowledgeable about dietary and vet needs, pasture management and is very consistent with the horse's schedule. She is also good with people and keeps all of her boarders very happy! I enjoy working with Carrie and am very happy to have her with us at Swinging M Stables taking care of our horses!" - Robin Brenner

Robin Brenner has been the trainer for my horse and me for five years. She is an excellent trainer for all skill levels and has assisted me and others to match our skills to the appropriate horse. Robin is a reliable, mature and patient teacher who always has a positive attitude and instills confidence in her students. She is also knowledgeable about all aspects of barn management and horse health issues.” - Barbara Thornburg

Robin Brenner has been our riding instructor since we acquired our first horse, Lillie 8 years ago. She has taken my daughter from her first longe line lessons at age 8, to a graceful, balanced rider on our young thoroughbred at age 15. She trailered Lillie from her rescue site on day one, and took her up to Purdue on her last trip at age 30. Even through Lill's end, Robin was a great source of sympathy and strength.

Robin readily adapts her teaching to the experience, age and confidence level of both the rider and horse. She is no longer just my daughter's trainer, she is her role model. She balances humor with "push" and understands all levels of fitness in both horse and rider, and is adept at improving function for both.

We have followed Robin through multiple stable moves, and will continue to stay where she trains. Her enthusiasm and expertise have given this horse-lover and her daughter many fine (and fun) memories. Robin even "found" our wonderful gelding, Dublin for us, and he is an amazing match.” Cathy Harsha
